How to layer a graphic hoodie

Signal Creature Hoodie product render: black hoodie, back print of a crouched clawed creature in bone and acid lime, C mark on the left chest

Start with a tee that feels comfortable under your hoodie. If you're adding a jacket, try all three on together and check the sleeves and collar. Both CUWORA GEN 01 hoodies have their main artwork on the back, so it'll show when the hoodie is your outer layer.

Start with the hoodie as the outer layer

On a day warm enough to leave your jacket at home, try the hoodie with jeans or plain trousers. A tee can sit underneath without adding much to the outfit, or you can let its hem show below the hoodie.

The Signal Creature Hoodie combines bone and acid lime artwork on Jet Black. Try black or charcoal trousers to keep the outfit dark, or blue denim for contrast. The Hooded Portrait Hoodie uses bone and dusty blue, which you can echo with blue jeans.

When you need a jacket over it

Try the jacket over your hoodie, even if it fits well over a tee. Bend your arms and reach forward. If the sleeves pull tight or the hood bunches behind your neck, try a roomier jacket or one with a different collar.

An open jacket may leave the small C mark on your chest visible, but it covers the back graphic. You can show the full design again when you take the jacket off indoors.

Will the tee hang below the hoodie?

It may, even if you choose the same size in both. The CUWORA M tee is 73.7 cm long, while the M hoodie is 70 cm long. The hoodie is wider, at 56 cm across the chest compared with 50.8 cm for the tee.

CUWORA tee and hoodie measurements in cm, laid flat
Garment Chest width Body length
M tee 50.8 73.7
M hoodie 56 70
L tee 55.9 76.2
L hoodie 61 73

The way each piece sits on you affects how much hem shows. Compare a tee and hoodie you already wear together, then check the full size guide.

What about colder days?

CUWORA hoodies use an 80% cotton and 20% polyester blend at 280 g/m². That tells you the fabric weight, but it can't tell you whether you'll be warm enough. Wind, rain and the layers underneath all make a difference.

For cold or wet days, add a jacket that suits the weather.

Should you size up to fit a tee underneath?

You may not need to. Measure a hoodie you already wear over a tee and compare it with the chart. If you want more room, check the next size's length too, so you know where the hem will sit.

Browse both graphic hoodies. For a tee to wear underneath, read the front and back print guide or compare tee sizes.
