How to style graphic tees: four outfit ideas

Start with jeans or trousers you already wear. Then pick one colour from the tee's artwork to repeat in a cap, bag or pair of shoes. You don't need to match every colour in the print.

Here are four ways to wear CUWORA's GEN 01 tees, using black, blue denim and charcoal as a starting point.

1. Black portrait tee with straight blue jeans

The Hooded Portrait Tee has a bone and dusty blue illustration on the back of a black tee. Straight blue jeans pick up the cooler colour without adding another graphic. Wear black shoes if you want them to blend in, or a pale pair for contrast.

The front has a small C mark on the chest. Try it with an open overshirt or a simple necklace. Leave the overshirt off when you want the portrait visible and it's warm enough.

2. Natural tee with washed black trousers

The Street Signal Tee combines burnt orange, dusty blue and black on Natural fabric. Washed black trousers pick up the black ink and contrast with the cream-coloured tee.

An orange detail on a bag or a blue cap can bring out one of the colours in the print. This pairing also works with the Walking Signal Tee and its burnt orange ring.

3. Carolina Blue front print with dark layers

The Signal Eye Tee carries the large eye on the front. The Carolina Blue version has a black shape with an acid lime iris. Try dark straight-leg trousers and an open black overshirt so the blue and lime show through.

Check it in a mirror with the overshirt on. If the sides cover most of the eye, try a wider opening or skip the extra layer.

4. Wordmark tee with loose trousers

The CUWORA Wordmark Tee has large lettering across the chest and a plain back. Try the Natural version with charcoal trousers, or black with lighter denim. Loose trousers work well here if you like a roomy outfit.

If the tee hangs lower than you'd like, try trousers with a higher waist or a small tuck at the front. Check that the tuck doesn't fold the lettering. Sizing up will make the tee longer as well as wider.

Do graphic tees have to be oversized?

No. Wear the fit you like. CUWORA's tees have a classic fit; if you want one looser, compare its width and length with a tee you already own.

Read how to choose your graphic tee size before ordering. If you are deciding between designs, the front and back print guide shows where the artwork sits on each tee.
